The Professional Competencies Domain Planners are collectively responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of the Professional Competencies Curriculum Component under the leadership of the Professional Competencies Co-Chairs. The Domain Planners will demonstrate a commitment to advance the priorities and principles of the MD Program, including the use of student-engaged learning methods, evidence-informed curriculum practices, and an orientation towards quality improvement.
The ideal candidate as a Domain Planner will have a strong interest and experience in medical education, specifically in the planning and delivery of undergraduate medical education curriculum, and particularly the Professional Competencies curriculum and the Inter-Professional Practice domain. The MD Program of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine is a fully distributed medical education program that uses problem-based, self-directed, and experiential learning approaches. Experience with these pedagogical approaches is essential.
