Faculty Development
Welcome to the Program for Faculty Development! Faculty development is essential to the academic and professional vitality of a university as it translates to excellence in teaching, clinical care, research, leadership and capacity building. We take a broad definition of faculty development to include all activities that enable or support the growth of faculty in their academic roles as educator, health professional, scholar and leader at McMaster University.
We are part of a network of faculty development programs across our central and regional campuses, including Waterloo, Niagara, Burlington, Halton, and Grand Erie Six Nations. Together, we liaise, collaborate and coordinate faculty development workshops, events, and learning opportunities that are open to all faculty members, residents and postgraduate students at McMaster University. We provide educational resources, individualized consultations, customized event planning, educational technologies support, and collaborative opportunities.
